When Mandla Majola joined the Treatment Action Campaign (TAC) his father was not impressed. He had sent his son to study law in the hope that one day he would be somebody. Instead, Mandla gave it all up to join a group of old women walking around in T-shirts that said ‘HIV-positive’.
