The Western Cape Department of Health recently opened a new men’s only health centre, which aims to empower boys and men to lead healthy lives. Siyabonga Kamnqa spoke to the centre’s manager and men’s health organisations about the value this centre will add and the services it provides.
From paintings by artists like Xolani Sivunda to communication campaigns launched by provincial health departments, the fight against COVID-19-related misinformation is being fought on many fronts. Siyabonga Kamnqa surveyed some of these efforts and asked health and behaviour experts what does and does not work.
Siyabonga Kamnqa visited shelters in Cape Town to chat to homeless people about their lives in the time of COVID-19 and under lockdown. He also asked government what they’ve done to assist and protect these vulnerable members of our society.
