The Treatment Action Campaign (TAC) turned 20 on 10 December 2018. On the evening of the 9th of December Dr Fareed Abdullah addressed TAC
members, supporters and allies at the Women’s Jail at Constitution Hill in Johannesburg. He provided an overview of the past 20 years in
South Africa’s AIDS response and provided a frank assessment of the work still ahead of us. Abdullah is currently responsible for
tuberculosis at the South African Medical Research Council and was previously the CEO of the South African National AIDS Council. The
sound quality of this recording is not very good. We apologise for that.
